Beyond pleased with the attentiveness and friendly staff at this hotel. They get to know you by name, knowledge of the area and assistance with all request. I wanted to surprise my bf for his birthday since I had to come home before him. I reached out to the staff. Response was immediate, paid over the phone and made it happen! He was so surprised. ¡Excelente servicio!
El equipo del hotel te hace sentir cómodo y seguro desde la recepción, y eso es súper valioso para los huéspedes. La habitación muy limpia y muy cómodo todo. 

Los precios accesibles y la ubicación hacen de este hotel la mejor opción para los viajeros.

Amazing boutique hotel
We absolutely love Cielo. Very clean rooms with a Mexican flair. Great air conditioning and super comfortable beds! We love the rooftop to have some quiet time. Over looking the sea that is one block away. Love people watching on the famous 5th ave. Beautiful huge palapa on the roof also for lounging in the shade with the breeze of the sea. Volver al paraiso
No estábamos seguros del regreso,sin embargo después de hospedarnos 10 dias en este pedacito de cielo una vez más regresamos a casa felices y seguros. 
Con algunos cambios tras Covid nos dio gusto sentirnos en casa en un lugar amigable y cálido como siempre. Gracias a todos x tantos detalles,recomendaciones y cuidados. Especialmente a nuestra camarista y al equipo de recepción que nos facilito nuestra estancia.

Wonderful Boutique Hotel
I've been visiting Hotel Cielo for 10 years, and once again, the staff did not disappoint.  It feels more like visiting friends than staying at a hotel.  Everyone knows your name, and the owners Steve and Alejandra are highly visible and engaged with their guests.  The hotel is extremely clean, and is located at a perfect location, right on 5th Avenue and less than 1 block from the beach.  You can see the ocean and sand right from the hotel. They take care of their people. They take care of you.
Cute boutique hotel with that authentic Mexican feel that's getting hard to find.

When I heard how well they are taking care of all their staff during the tough COVID season, it spoke volumes. Many places cut their people or dropped them to nominal wages. Hotel Cielo didn't.

Awesome Stay
Hotel Cielo in Playa del Carmen is just a wonderful little hotel with an old world feel and  filled with warmth & charm. We feel bad for we should of wrote this review months ago, but here we are doing our best to make up for it.Property has such a Mexican hacienda style with a rooftop second to none & breathtaking views of the Caribbean.
Staff, absolutely wonderful and very accommodating.
Their restaurant Carboncitos, delicious !!! will be reviewing them as well.
Overall....just Incredible , felt so comfortable as if we were in our own home and can't wait to to return.

Oh ... and they had great  WiFi.

Better than home!
This spring pre-Covid we visited Hotel Cielo. It was so cute and the staff was so nice. The owners even are there and take time to talk with you. Its cozy and so different from big resorts. We can't wait to go back. I loved the natural decor and not wild loud colors.

Great experience
I took my wife on a surprise get away to Mexico playa del Carmen. I researched a hotel that had numerous likes and great reviews. I chose hotel Cielo. When we got there it was better than expected. The rooms were absolutely beautiful and the view was breathtaking. The hotel was right on the main avenue that had every type of restaurants and stores.  We were right down the street from the ferry going over to Cozumel. The hotel has a really great roof top lounge that you need to experience. I give hotel cielo an easy 5 stars.

ALWAYS ON MY MIND
Just to be clear, Cielo is my favorite hotel in Mexico by far, even though it is not an all inclusive because it doesn't have to be.

The building is a great representation of Hacienda style living with lush gardens within, exceptionally clean with special touches like handmade soap and shampoos in the rooms and housekeeping personnel that are at the top of their game.

The service is second to none, the food at the in house Carboncitos is stellar, the drinks here are cold and tasty.

Proximity to anything you may need is just steps away in any direction and the beach is just 50 feet east.

Yes I am partial, and probably swayed a bit, but:
THEY HAVE EARNED MY BUSINESS with downright good, clean and honest accommodations .
